Calderdale

Calderdale Libraries - UPDATE

In July 2008 Calderdale Council agreed to demolish Calderdale Central Library and the adjacent Council offices to make way for retail development. At the time the proposal was to move the Library to another location, but there was to be insufficient space to house all the functions currently within it - the lending library, reference library, local history, community meeting rooms and state of the art Archive facilities.
