Tory cuts cause 'triple jeopardy' for women

(30/09/12) Women are facing a "triple jeopardy" caused by the Tory cuts, UNISON's Anne McCormack told the Labour party conference in Manchester today.

She spoke out against the government, whose cuts meant that women suffered three times: from public sector pay cuts (most public sector workers are women); from service cuts (most carers are women); and from benefit cuts.

And she condemned the government for current figures which reveal that 56% of young Black men are unemployed.
