Defending Pensions during a Period of Economic Uncertainty
UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, today (Tuesday 26 February) accused the Government of hypocrisy over its pensions policy. And called on it to act to shore up future pension provision to protect members against the headlong rush by top companies to raid pension funds by changing the rules.

Nursing students from across the country are converging on London today (Wednesday February 20), to lead a march organised by the National Union of Students demanding “Grants Not Fees,” and calling for an end to nursing bursaries.
