Police staff members in England and Wales have overwhelmingly agreed to new terms and conditions from 1 April.

UNISON members who work for police services and follow the Police Staff Handbook in the two countries voted on proposed changes in January and early February, alongside colleagues in Unite and the GMB.

The UNISON ballot saw 87% of those taking part vote Yes, while 80% of Unite members and 74% of GMB members also agreed to the changes.

Individual forces will now introduce the changes from April, taking account of any local collective agreements.
