FE pay ballot helpline opens

Find out if your college is being balloted for action – and phone 0800 0 857 857 if you have not got your ballot paper

The ballot helpline for the English further education industrial action vote opens tomorrow, 13 January.

Members who have not received a ballot, or who have lost their ballot paper, can call 0800 0 857 857 to request a replacement.

However, not all colleges are involved in the ballot, not least because some employers have negotiated local pay deals.

You can find out which colleges are being balloted for action on the campaign webpage at unison/org.uk/FEpay2016, under FAQs, and checking the list of colleges taking part in the vote.

Industrial action occurs when members of a trade union organise into a group that either refuses to work, or refuses to work in the way employers want. Industrial action may take place when no resolution has been found in bargaining and negotiation with the employer.
