FSA members accept offer

Members working for the Food Standards Agency have voted to accept the employer’s pay offer.

UNISON national officer Paul Bell said: “Our membership in the FSA is strong and well organised. We repeatedly told the FSA not to impose below-inflation pay rises on our members. They went ahead anyway.

“The result was two four-hour strikes in August. This forced the FSA to ACAS.”

He noted that UNISON has secured better overtime rates, a commitment to industrial relations and respect for members.
