UNISON delegates today furthered the union’s fight against racism in the world of football – and its knock-on effects for racism in society generally – by supporting the Kick It Out campaign.
Kick It Out is supported and funded by the game’s governing bodies, including the Professional Footballers Association, the Premier League and The Football Association. It works to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change.
UNISON, which is already affiliated to Show Racism the Red Card, also plans to write to the FA, EUFA and FIFA, outlining its concerns about the lack of action taken by the football federations on the issue.
