On Friday 13 March, UNISON members in health and education in Northern Ireland will form picket lines outside their place of work and take strike action.
The day of action has come as a result of damaging cuts imposed on public services by the government in the Stormont House Agreement.
Hospital A&E departments are under increasing pressure, staff are stressed, wards are overcrowded and still cuts are being implemented.
In education, it has been announced that 1,500 support staff jobs are to be cut and services are being slashed in areas such as special needs training and school meals.
UNISON is calling on all local communities across Northern Ireland to support this strike to save their public services.
