Prentis tells PSI: ‘Together we can be brilliant’

UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis called for steps to promote quality public services, social justice and dignity for all when he addressed the Public Services International (PSI) conference this morning.

Mr Prentis, who is also president of PSI, made the comments on the organisation’s programme of action.

The programme calls for renewed our efforts to fight corruption and promote good governance, and commits the organisation to take “swifter and more effective action to defend and advance the rights of workers and their unions”.

“Together we can be brilliant,” he told delegates.

UNISON president Chris Tansley is also a member of the delegation in Durban, South Africa.
