Women, power and politics

A women-only conference organised by the National Assembly of Women and hosted by UNISON to look at the economic, social and political attack on women.
The conference will cover a range of issues including:
- representation of women in local government, Parliament and trade unions;
- fighting cuts in wages and the campaign for equal pay;
- women, the family and the fight for the rights of children and young people.;
Speakers include:
- Sarah Veale, head of equalities and employment, TUC;
- Gloria Mills, UNISON national secretary for equalities;
- Barbara White, Redbridge councillor and TUC women’s committee member.
