Dimensions pay offer accepted

UNISON members working as support workers at learning support charity Dimensions have voted by 71% to accept the oganisation’s 2013-14 pay offer.

The vote followed a full consultation with members, who will receive pay increases of up to 64p per hour, depending where in the country they are based. Full details have been circulated to relevant members.

The pay award will be made in February and backdated to 6 January 2014.

Commenting on the vote UNISON’s national officer for the community and voluntary sector Simon Watson said: “Although this is a majority of the members there is clearly a large portion of staff who are unhappy with the pay. UNISON intends to bring this to Dimensions’ attention.”

UNISON has also secured a non-consolidated one-off payment to staff to be paid in April. The amount will  on depend the amount available at the end of the financial year (31 March) and will be subject to tax and national insurance.

UNISON will let all members know as soon as possible what the non-consolidated one-off payment will be.

Dimensions is a not-for-profit organisation providing services for people of all ages with learning disabilities or autism.
