UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis is joining Barnet strikers at the Mill Hill Depot today (Monday) at 7am.
The strike is in support of the social workers, coach escorts, drivers, occupational therapists, schools catering staff, education welfare officer, library workers, children centre workers, streetcleaning and refuse workers who want to remain employees of Barnet Council rather than see their jobs be privatised.
UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis said: “The workers in Barnet want to continue to deliver the amazing service they have been delivering for years.
“They play a huge role in looking after our children, keeping our streets clean and providing communities with public services they rely on so much. Their voices deserve to be heard.”
