This week is Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, and UNISON’s learning and organising unit has resources available to help members across the union, after the toughest of years.

Head of health Sara Gorton said: “We know working throughout the pandemic has been difficult for many UNISON members.

“As restrictions begin to ease, we hope this will bring a chance to focus on the rest that’s needed and for more time spent with loved ones outdoors.”

And Ms Gorton continued: “Employers must provide supportive work environments, recognising the positive impact they can have on people’s mental health and wellbeing.”
