TU agenda can deliver peace, progress and equality

UNISON’s Pamela Dooley opened the 2014 biennial conference of the Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions in Derry today

Ms Dooley has chaired  the Northern Committee of congress since 2012.

In her speech, she condemned the rowing back on equality and human rights by the Northern Ireland Executive .

She challenged Northern Ireland’s politicians to “move forward on the trade union agenda which we know can deliver peace, progress and equality – the theme of the conference.”
