UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, has written to all Labour
MPs today (11 January) warning them that the widespread anger
and resentment caused by Government attacks on pension
schemes would harm Labour in the run up to the General Election.
UNISON is already consulting its local government members over
strike action to defend attacks on their pension. And, yesterday,
the union pledged to fight attacks on the NHS scheme. Today
TUC public sector unions, including UNISON, meet to agree a joint
strategy to defend pensions.
