Young people appear to have lost faith in the Government over its handling of the Iraq dossier and the subsequent death of Dr Kelly. A survey of more than 4,000 young people in Reading and Leeds over the weekend (22-24 August) has revealed that they believe by 2-1 that the Government will come out worse than the BBC in the Hutton inquiry. The survey revealed that young people do take an interest in politics – there were very few who had no opinion on the matter.
UNISON volunteers surveyed 4,175 people between the ages of 16 and 25. The results are:
