UNISON Calls For Better, Safer, More Accessible Public Transport

Now that the 10 Year Transport Plan has all but collapsed the prospect for better public transport looks bleak – this is the stark warning being made by Keith Sonnet, Deputy General Secretary of UNISON, at its transport seminar in London tomorrow (Wednesday 15 January). The union will argue that the key to getting people moving as efficiently as possible is building public confidence and that means more, cheaper and passenger friendly buses and trains alongside safer roads.
