Court decision shows Boris Johnson isn’t fit to be Prime Minister

The entrance of the Supreme Court

Commenting on the Supreme Court ruling today (Tuesday) that the decision to suspend Parliament was unlawful, UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis said:

“A man who thinks he’s above the law is a man not fit to be Prime Minister.

“His blatant attempt to shut down democracy has failed. Now politicians can return to holding the government to account and stopping the UK from plunging off a no-deal cliff.

“If there is no new deal, Boris Johnson must ask Europe for an extension. Then we must have an election so a Labour government can sort out this mess.”
