The UNISON National Private Contractor Seminar is specifically for members and activists who are directly employed by a private contractor. This event will provide training and workshops and its purpose is to encourage members’ participation in the union, to network and gain new skills
The event will give members and activists employed by private contractors the opportunity to share your experiences – and help to shape your union.
Make sure you book your place – don’t miss out on the opportunity to meet others from around the UK working for private contractors!
The seminar will comprise of speakers and workshops on health and safety, legal issues and pensions as well as a guest speaker from a private employer. Topics that will be covered include:
· Health & Safety
· Legal Update
· Organising in private contractors
· How to write a motion to UNISON conferences
· The importance of Equalities reps
· Learning opportunities offered by UNISON
· Pensions
Delegates will need to contact their branch to register for the event.
Members must be employed by a Private Contractor.
Registration before Friday 29th July will qualify for the early bird discount offer, the final closing date is 7th October 2022.
Requests for reasonable adjustments, childcare and any dietary requirements should also be made via OCS. These must be made by midday on Wednesday 12 October 2022.
