On Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th of March the International Unit welcomed over 50 attending delegate BIROs to the UNISON Centre from across the UK for the long awaited International Seminar.
Delegates enjoyed hearing from speakers from across the world and engaged in workshops about the role of a branch international officer and how they can better engage members on international matters that are a priority to our union.
Our workshops included covering our work on tackling injustices in Turkey, Colombia, Palestine and a session on our work on Business and Human Rights advocacy.
We are grateful to our partners and friends at KESK and Justice for Colombia who provided us with insightful and engaging speakers for our delegates and gave them valuable insight and the tools and resources to take back to their branches and workplaces to highlight our work.
