Higher education branches across the UK are preparing for members to take strike action alongside colleagues from UCU and Unite this Thursday, 31 October.
Delegates attending UNISON’s higher education branch seminar in Harrogate at the weekend discussed the final plans for the nationwide strike.
UNISON members, together their colleagues from UCU and Unite, will be striking to try to get an improvement on the employers’ 1% pay offer.
UNISON recognises that it will be the first time for many people and that this can be a difficult decision to take.
There are various rallies taking place around the UK on 31 October 2013, and members are urged to attend to show their support for their striking colleagues.
