Conference notes the Tory led attack on public services and the NHS across the UK. In Northern Ireland the £4.3 billion cut to the block grant to Northern Ireland has had a hugely detrimental impact on public service delivery. Conference is very aware of the significant drain on our Health and Social Care service budgets.
A major review initiated by the Northern Ireland minister for Health will further compound and undermine the NHS in Northern Ireland. The number of cuts to services will increase and jobs will be lost.
Conference calls on the Health Service Executive Group to continue to build resistance across the UK and to work with all regions to consolidate our national negotiating leverage.
Conference instructs the National Health Service Group to design industrial action strategies which will mobilise our members in support of these goals
