Mutual and Social Enterprises will figure large in the efforts of the Con Dem government to redesign the delivery of public sector services. In order to address the many challenges that this will present to our union and members this union needs to prepare against them and consult widely in order to have a coherent strategy that is supported by our members.
Conference instructs the National Executive Council to consider all aspects of these models of service delivery and to ensure branches and regions have sufficient resources available to be effective in responding to the issue of social enterprising, reporting back to National Delegate Conference in 2012.
