Conference believes that since delegates to this Conference are either lone women or groups of women, they face a greater risk to their personal safety than delegates at other conferences.
We would like to know that the hotels we are invited to stay in have been checked for access, health and safety; are suitable for lone women and have good access to public transport.
We call on the National Women’s Committee to produce a register of hotels which are safe to women and for this information to be given to whoever provides delegates and branches with the list of recommended hotels for conference. Further, we would request that in compiling this list account is taken of local knowledge, for example by contacting the Regional Women’s Committee in the area in which the conference is to be held.
