Contrast Printing

Conference
2007 Retired Members' Conference
Date
16 June 2007
Decision
Carried as Amended

Conference is alarmed by the continued use of small letters and the inappropriate use of colour printing on coloured paper so frequently used in publications. These practices are not acceptable to the elderly. Conference therefore instructs the National Retired Members’ Committee to seek advice from UNISON’s National Disabled Members’ Committee and to take up this matter with the appropriate organisations such as government departments, the Consumer Association, Age Concern and the Royal National Institute for the Blind with a view to give more consideration to their print presentation affecting so many of their elderly readers.
