Conference expresses its concern at the late publication of the Preliminary Agenda for our Conference this year. Conference believes that having the preliminary agenda available for regional and branch group meetings is helpful in allowing democratic decision making and the submission of amendments etc.
Conference further notes that a decision has also been taken that UNISON Conference agendas should no longer be available on the UNISON website and that this decision was only notified to LGBT group members following the distribution of the Preliminary Agenda.
Whilst acknowledging that this is a UNISON wide decision applying to all UNISON Conferences, Conference expresses its disappointment that the Preliminary and Final Agenda will no longer be available via the web.
Conference therefore calls on the National Committee to review the process used to disseminate the Preliminary and Final Agenda, in particular investigating the potential use of email as well as use of the website (possibly with a membership sign in section if necessary).
