This Conference regrets our very successful national incentive recruitment campaign has been replaced by Best Organised branch due to funding issues.
Recruitment is a lay member activity and its success is crucial to the continuation of UNISON as an effective representative organisation. Conference therefore welcomes the NEC’s decision to make recruitment a national priority this year.
This Conference calls upon the Energy Service Group Executive in conjunctions with the Water and Environment and Transport Executives to bring forward proposals for a new national incentive recruitment campaign in 2005 which gives incentives to best practises, ordinary members’ involvement in recruitment, and minimises administration by national office staff.
A discussion at the national branch seminar in November could facilitate the production of such proposals.
