This course will help you to:

  • understand your role more fully;
  • recognise and take advantage of recruitment opportunities;
  • be more confident in recruiting new members;
  • develop your interviewing and presentational skills;
  • develop an understanding of equal opportunities.

 

By the end of the course you will:

  • take an active part in problem solving, using co-operative working methods;
  • be clear about the parameters of your role;
  • understand the importance of your role within UNISON;
  • have a deeper understanding of equal opportunities;
  • have a deeper understanding of recruitment methods, including the setting of realistic targets;
  • understand how to engage with and draw out young members during interviews.

The course involves group work and discussion and is a good opportunity to network and share ideas and experiences.
