Organising around mental health in colleges

23 September 2021 4:00pm

The pandemic, lockdowns and huge changes affecting our personal and professional lives have increased the levels of anxiety felt by staff in colleges.

Join us to find out what help and resources are available from UNISON to help you to ensure that staff mental health is given high priority as colleges return to higher levels of learners on-site.

This is a UK-wide event for all activists and for UNISON members who are interested in becoming a rep.

Each session will be followed by a Q&A to help you get the most out of the webinar:

  • Mental health at work – Kim Sunley, UNISON national officer for Health & Safety
  • Guide to organising around mental health – Leigh Powell, UNISON national officer for FE
  • Running a stress awareness workshop – Jim Lewis, UNISON National Learning and Development Organiser
  • Being a mental health first aider – John Riley, caseworker and organiser, City of Liverpool branch
