Hazards 2015: the 26th National Hazards Conference

4 – 6 September 2015

Keele University, Keele, Staffordshire, ST5 5BG

This year the National Hazards Conference takes place between 4-6 September at Keele University.

This conference is the biggest safety rep conference in the UK, regularly attracting around 500 safety reps; almost half of them from UNISON. Regular reports from UNISON safety activist delegates indicate how much they gain from, and value, attending.

The conference allows delegates to choose from 20 workshops, plus meetings and other sessions. Hear from hazards campaigners, health and safety experts, and experienced safety reps on how to deal with workplace hazards, and how to use health and safety to campaign and organise.

UNISON nationally sponsors the conference and recommends it to UNISON safety reps. We contribute to the development of the programme, resource an exhibition stall, facilitate workshops, and hold a networking event on the Friday evening. This allows all the UNISON delegates to meet one another, staff from UNISON’s health and safety unit, and attending members of UNISON’s national health and safety committee. Also hear about the current health and safety issues, tell us about your experiences, and discuss how these are tackled.

Don’t miss out – book your place now and join us in Keele between 4-6 September.

UNISON branches are also encouraged to help keep the individual delegate fees down by sponsoring the conference.
