Green UNISON week webinar

29 September 2022 12:30pm–1:30pm

As part of Green UNISON Week, UNISON will once again be hosting its annual Green UNISON Webinar.

We don’t need any persuading that climate change is real, is dangerous and is destructive. We know that there are no jobs on a dead planet and that meeting the Net Zero commitments are vital. We also know that if the transition to net zero is not just, it is workers and their families who will most likely suffer the worst consequences.

Following on from CoP26 in Glasgow and the launch of our Getting to Net Zero in Public Services: The road to decarbonisation report, UNISON is pleased to invite you to join us once more for an update on what UNISON is doing to support the fight against climate change and to hear how more about how greening the workplace, and climate action activity, is something we can all get involved in.

We are delighted to announce that this year we will have a panel including Kate Metcalf from the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) to speak about their work and why climate change is a women’s issue and also Graham Petersen from the Greener Jobs Alliance who has done a huge amount of work on Green Jobs and who recently authored the Wales TUC Greener Workplaces Tool Kit.

Fill in the form to sign up and we’ll send you a link to join.
