The Equality Unit provides policy advice and guidance on equality matters to the union. We campaign nationally on equality issues and support UNISON’s self-organised groups – women, Black, disabled and LGBT+ members, the young members forum and retired members group. The Administrator will provide a range of administrative support across all areas of the unit.
Skills/experience required:
- team player with experience of showing initiative and multi-tasking in a pressurised environment
- good communication and time management skills
- proven admininstrative and secretarial skills
- experience and expertise in using office equipment/systems and a full range of IT and digital packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- social media skills
- administration of committees/meetings and seminars
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in a administrative/secretary role who also wants to play a dynamic role in a campaigning organisation.
