About this job

The Branch Support & Organising Fund Area Organiser is a new exciting role designed to take UNISON’s organising objectives forward across the region. The role will have a varied number of strategic projects working as part of a regional team. Projects include organising across Multi-Academy School Trusts, identifying and mentoring Black, Women and LGBT+ workplace leaders and developing organising campaigns to recruit new members to UNISON.  

The successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. To undertake this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the Trade Union and Labour movement and UNISON in the South East Region in particular. previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a TU branch or within a similar organisation would also be desirable. You will need to be able to travel within the region and to the Regional Offices in Brighton and London as required.
