The Professional Services Unit, provides specialist representation to members who face allegations before their professional regulator up to an including attending legal hearings. The unit works across 8 of UK Health and Social Care Regulators in addition to those in the devolved nations. We provide professional advice to branches and regional staff on a case by case basis, in addition to supporting members throughout the regulatory stages. The Team Secretary/Administrator is an essential part of our team and will provide a range of clerical and administrative support duties across all areas of our work.  As part of our administrative team you will be the main point of contact, helping to prioritise more urgent matters which are time limited.

Skills/experience required:

  • team player with experience of working in a pressurised environment
  • good communication and time management skills
  • proven secretarial & administrative skills
  • experience of using office equipment/systems and a full range of IT packages
  • use of UNISONs RMS and the Case Management system is desirable or experience in equivalent systems
  • administration of committees/ meetings and seminars
