About this job

As one of the biggest and most influential trade unions, our work is vital to supporting UNISON members. The North West Region is looking for an experienced Team Administrator, who will have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to organise their own workload and to manage pressure and priorities whilst working accurately.

Working as part of a regional team you will need to be flexible and work well in the team. You will provide efficient and pivotal secretarial, clerical and administrative support, carrying out a wide range of duties including preparing correspondence, organising meetings and taking minutes, maintaining electronic calendars and working to deadlines, dealing with telephone enquiries and processing mail. You’ll also liaise with UNISON members, employers, solicitors and other external parties.

For this role, you do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding and sympathy with the aims and values of the trade union movement.
