About this job

UNISON is the UK’s largest union, representing over 1.3 million people working in a range of public services – the people who keep the people running. And we need someone to tell their and our story.

We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic communications professional with strong writing, editing and digital skills and experience.

You’ll work as part of our small, dedicated editorial team within a wider communications department which includes in-house designers, digital specialists and campaign planners.

You’ll be a content specialist who’s able to work with colleagues and internal stakeholders at all levels of the union to develop strong, eye-catching and user-friendly content both in print and online – sometimes from unpromising beginnings!

You’ll be able to interview a wide range of people and be able to tell their story with engaging, attention-grabbing copy but you’ll also be able to turn organisational information and reports into engaging data-led content.

If you know what a good story is and how to tell it in the best way possible, while making the world a better place on the side, this is the job for you.
