UNISON Kent Branch is the largest branch in the South East with over 7,000 members. They are seeking to recruit a Caseworker/Organiser on a 24 month fixed term contract. You need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our branch. The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role and be able to develop and deliver recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns, mentor and develop stewards undertake case work, advise, support and mentor stewards in representation and negotiation, particularly in the private, community and voluntary sector.
You will have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper. A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential, along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their experience and skills in one to one and group communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning.
You will need to be able to travel across the County of Kent and attend meetings/training as required.
