UNISON Central and East Berks Branch are seeking to recruit to the following position based in Reading.

Caseworker/ Organiser: Full time equivalent salary £29,905 per annum – 18.5 hours per week pro rata (0.5 FTE). Fixed Term contract for 12 months.
The Caseworker/ Organiser will represent branch members on an individual/collective basis and provide advice on work related issues. This post requires industrial relations experience, organising and IT skills, and an ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies for members working within UNISON’s Central and East Berks Branch.
Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team. A full driving license and the ability to travel extensively across Reading, Wokingham, Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead is required. A car is not provided.
The successful applicant will need to provide their own vehicle. Travel expenses for legitimate work purposes will be paid, but not travel costs to and from work. A DBS check may be required.
You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise work. You should be familiar with the local government, schools, further education, private, community and voluntary sectors, where the work will be undertaken.
