Staffordshire UNISON has over 6000 members working across the area, in local authority, further education and the private sector. We have an active group of stewards and experienced branch officers.
The Branch is looking for a Local Organiser to recruit new members, identify and support activists. Reporting to the Branch Secretary, you must be able to work on your own initiative. You will need knowledge of employment law, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and knowledge of the Trade Union movement, its aims and values. You should also have good IT and administrative skills.
The post will be based in the Staffordshire Branch of UNISON in Stafford.
The post will initially be for a fixed 12 month contract.
