About this job

You will manage Unison’s internal member learning programme, working with branches and regional colleagues to promote a learning culture in UNISON. Your role will include designing and delivering a range of learning programmes relevant to building a culture of learning and which reflect the issues facing UNISON members, and developing and promoting membership participation in the union. That includes giving relevant professional educational support to union staff and lay members at all levels, from the UNISON Centre to regions and local branches.

With knowledge of a variety of trade union issues, you’ll be a proven tutor and facilitator, with the experience to enable you develop and support learning opportunities for a wide variety of target groups. You will be well organised with the ability to work in a team and able to take lead responsibility for key initiatives and projects. You will have good people management and interpersonal skills. Most important of all, you will be able to inspire members, activists and staff to develop and promote a learning culture that supports UNISON organising agenda.

Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays will be required.
