The South West region is currently recruiting two temporary Local Organisers, which will be filled either on a secondment basis or as a fixed term contract employment opportunity.

About this job

R10/82T – 1 x fixed term contract or secondment in Taunton until 7 August 2017 – (subject to one month’s notice)

R10/88T – 1 x fixed term contract or secondment in Exeter until 31 July 2017 (subject to one month’s notice)

Successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in assisting branches to recruit, map membership density, develop new activists, organise and drive forward our campaigning work in branches and across the region.

To undertake this role you must have good interpersonal and IT skills, excellent administrative and organisational skills and a good understanding and knowledge of the trade union movement.

You will need to be able to travel within the region and also possibly to London for meetings/training as required.
