As one of the biggest and most influential trade unions, our work is vital to supporting UNISON members.

An experienced team player with a secretarial or admin background, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to organise your own workload and to manage pressure and priorities.

Working as part of a regional team, you will provide efficient and pivotal secretarial, clerical and administrative support, carrying out a wide range of duties including maintaining electronic calendars and making appointments, dealing with telephone enquiries and processing incoming and outgoing mail.

You’ll also liaise with UNISON members, employers, solicitors and other external parties.

You will need to be IT proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other software packages, accurately touch typing at speed (at least 50wpm) you will help to maintain databases including our case management records.

For this role, you do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding and sympathy with the aims and values of the trade union movement.
