UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, today slammed a
challenge for Leader of the Labour Party as a “complete
distraction” from Labour’s third term agenda.
He said:
“Talk of a leadership challenge and stalking horses is a complete
and utter distraction from the programme of business for Labour’s
third term. What we should all be concentrating on at the
beginning of this historic third term is how we make life better for
ordinary hard-working people.
“We have an agenda based on delivery of the Warwick
commitments and we should be getting on with that and not
indulging in gesture politics.”
