UNISON is campaigning for a fair deal on pay for local government workers. Council and school workers voted for strike action for fair pay. Local government workers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland voted for action after rejecting the employers’ pay offer of just 1%. A strike day took place on 10 July 2014.
