PM is still serving up a bad Brexit deal, says UNISON

Government failure in Commons defeat over PM’s EU deal still leaves huge uncertainty and catastrophic risks

Commenting on today’s meaningful vote, UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis said:

“Two months may have passed since the last vote, but the PM’s bad deal remains the same. Her failure to negotiate a better deal risks a catastrophic no-deal Brexit that would crash the economy and harm public services.

“Thanks to her government’s negligence, working people are still no closer to knowing what Brexit means for them, their families, their jobs or the public services many help provide.

“The UK needs a deal that protects rights at work, jobs, wages and the hard-won peace secured by the Good Friday Agreement.

“Instead, the Prime Minister keeps serving up the same old dish but claiming it’s a brand new recipe.”
