Health minister Mark Drakeford AM will address the UNISON Cymru/Wales Inaugural nursing conference today, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff at 10am. He will speak to nurses on the key issues facing the NHS in Wales.
UNISON is the largest health union in Wales, representing 35,000 health workers, and has also arranged for chief nursing officer Jean White to speak to delegates about the Safe Nurse Staffing Levels Bill and compassionate care.
Dawn Bowden, UNISON Cymru/Wales head of health said: “This exciting inaugural conference demonstrates UNISON’s commitment to improving the working conditions of our nursing members and NHS services.”
Gail Adams, UNISON UK’s head of nursing will also address members at the conference.
