As part of the union-wide 2 objectives for UNISON’s 2026 Year of Green Activity, we want every branch to try and fill their Environmental Officer position and your next AGM is the obvious place to start.
Did you know there are template member emails on our Green UNION site that you can use – just copy, paste and send.
They link to information leaflets on what the role is and there is also a poster you can download and put up ahead of the AGM.
While there is only one formal Branch officer position, a branch can have as many local green reps as they want to help the officer form a network – Just like the health and safety officer/ reps work together.
