Have you applied for a Personal Independence Payment?

The Department for Work and Pensions is undertaking a review of Personal Independence Payments (PIP). If you have applied for a PIP in the past, you can fill in their questionnaire here to submit your individual responses. The deadline for responses is 5pm Friday 16 September.

PIPs help with some of the extra costs caused by long-term ill-health or disability for people aged 16 to 64.

The payments are between £21.80 and £139.75 a week and the rate depends on how a person is affected by their condition.

UNISON’s National Disabled Committee is encouraging UNISON members with experience of applying for Personal Independence Payments to feed into the government consultation.
