UNISON members were out in force this morning at a BMA rally and picket line in Brighton.
They were joined by general secretary Dave Prentis to show their support for junior doctors in their action against government attempts to impose a new contract.
Delegates from the union’s health conference, which is also taking place in Brighton this week, marched through the city before joining together at a rally near the hospital.
The rally followed several messages of solidarity and support sent by delegates at the conference to the striking doctors.
Addressing the rally Mr Prentis had one key message: “We will support the junior doctors in this fight … and we will win.”
