Over 140 people attended a rally for the right to strike held in Newcastle by The Northern Public Services Alliance and the Northern TUC on 9 September.
They heard from speakers including UNISON Northern’s regional convenor and chair of the Northern Public Services Alliance Clare Williams, PCS’s Fran Heathcote, chair of the North East People’s Assembly Tony Dowling, president of think tank Class Tim Roache and Northern TUC regional secretary Beth Farhat.
The event finished with material from singer and songwriter Grace Petrie.
